Create a new page

There are two ways to create a new page.

About the URL

If you want to create a new page, the easiest way is to enter the URL to which the new page should link.

  1. Write the link to the new page behind the domain, e.g. https://appswarehouse.de/neue_seite.
  2. Press the button "Create this page" on the "404" error page.
  3. Select language "German
  4. Now you can fill the page with content in the editing window.
  5. If the page is to be available via ClassiX's F1 help, the following steps must be followed here:
    1. Check "Activate custom URLs:".
    2. Enter the URL where the page should be available via F1 help, e.g. de_AppsWH_Module name.
  6. Save the page.
  7. On the new page, click on "Rename" at the bottom and choose a title for the page.

About a structure

To create a new page right within a structure the following steps are necessary.

  1. Hover (do not click) on the button with the three dots at the top of the page header.
  2. Click on "Control Panels".
  3. Click on the "Content" item and select "Wiki Structures" from the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on the structure in which the page is to be created:
    1. Alternatively a new structure can be created here
  5. On the right-hand side, click on the plus sign where the page is to be inserted:
    1. Here too, the notes on the F1 help of "Create page via URL" should be observed.

Templates and templates

If a new module is created and documented, the same procedure for creating the page as above is necessary.
When creating the page, you can directly fill the content via stored content templates:

Edit a page

Only a few steps are necessary to edit a page.

First of all, you must be logged in with a user account that has the rights to edit pages.

Then open the page you want to edit. If you are logged in and have the necessary rights, there should be a "button" at the bottom of the page with the title "Edit". If you press this button, you get into the edit mode of the current page.

Internal page linking

A link can be inserted or edited via the corresponding toolbar icon:

Links Toolbar

The linking of another page should be done via the link type "URL" and thus one links to another TikiWiki page via the custom URL of the page. The protocol should be set to "other":

Links

If you link via the simple "Wiki Page" search, the page will no longer be found after a renaming.
Of course, the page will also no longer be found if the custom URL is changed. But this can be corrected relatively easily if the administrator is informed.

The link type "Anchor in this page" can be used to link to anchors within the page.

The TikiWiki itself offers functionalities such as backlinks, but these only work for links via the Wiki syntax.
